“No, it’s fine.” That didn’t sound right, so Roka tried again. “I mean, no, it isn’t…I didn’t mean for him to get that idea. Not that there’s anything wrong with that idea.” Wait, that wasn’t right either. “I mean, there is because we’re not like that. But it’s not like we couldn’t be, it just surprised me. Not that it would be all that…surprising…”
He took this time to study the map. Very carefully. ‘Wow. Nice going.’
((Got it.))

She laughed lightly at how flustered he was. She put a finger to his lips and kissed his cheek in a friendly way. "Breath Bouya((translation-boy))-san! You need it to survive fish or not." She said jokingly. Her face looked like a mixture of slyness and pleasure. She though he was cute like that but even cuter when he was mad at her. they were the only two times she'd ever seen his face red. It was interesting to see people with normal face colors. Their reactions were always visible from the changing color of their faces. When they were sick they eigther turned paper white or a green that rivaled her vertigris, not literally ofcourse, nothing rival her skin tone.

Roka turned a little redder, either from the name or from that kiss. He shot her a glare, though he wasn't really as annoyed as he acted. "I told you not to call me 'boy.' Aren't we still the same age? ...And I'm not a fish." He muttered as they turned a corner.
Bright, narrow, slit-like eyes watched from the ashen shadows. Watched and waited in perfect silence.

"I AM older thank you! I'm 20!" She reminded him with a sly smile. Sure he didn't know she had had a birthday recently but people never did, not even Kioku and Sayu-chan. Fea shivved a little at the presents of forging chakra. It felt unlike any of the other chakra around here. It wasn't human but it wasn't REALLY not either. She leaned in lightly. "Someone is watching us." She whispered leaning closer to him slightly. She could feel the familiar sense of eyes on her, following her, and it was unnerving. "Just thought I'd tell you. But don't respond yet." She cautioned him still whispering bore going back to normal. "So yes I can call you Bouya-san or I could always do worse! I've heard perky little pet names from the teenagers, I could always call you Ro-kun!" She teased back in her same tone before the sensed the disturbance.

((*Forgot the difference in their ages * Oh, yeah…))
“I thought we were clear on the fact that two years isn’t a big deal. And no, you 'may' not call me bouya-san.” His eyes shifted color and he scowled “And you definitely are not calling me Ro-kun. I haven’t been called that since I was a kid.”
He was continuing their conversation as casually as possible, but nodded when she told him of the third presence, giving her a knowing look. He could feel it. He only said, “I haven’t done you the disservice of giving you a ‘perky’ pet name, I only ask the same courtesy.”
It was slowly following them, creeping along their left side. Roka kept his eyes on the road ahead. It wasn’t far to his aunt’s house and his hand casually slipped to the hilt of the sai on the right side of his belt.

Fea smiled sadistically. "Whatever you say." She said walking a little a head teasingly. Now she understood why Kioku liked doing this so much! It was fun teasing people, but she still knew she'd only do it to him. "You can you know! I wouldn't mind at all! You'd be the first and only! as long as its not string bean or something stupid like that!" Fea said smirking and looking back at him. Then she saw a flash of her past and sobered instantly. She walked slower so he was closer and was not in a joking mood. "Actually I lied." She said darkly. "Someone had a pet name for me once.... it was greeney." She practically spat thinking of her darkest hour. she didn't want to go back to that. It was why she never showed her true feelings, it was why she couldn't trust or think highly of herself, not the green skin. It was that one night that haunted and controlled her so completely. She tried to concentrat on the chakra that confused her so, it would take her mind off that overly white smile.

He would’ve continued their discussion on naming, and he could’ve jokingly made a promise to return the favor, but it was cut short.
Roka had seen the change in her face instantly. The feelings Fea had for that pet name, whatever circumstances surrounded it, were about as far from ‘friendly’ as hot was from cold. The bitterness that crept into her voice seemed to effectively kill any playfulness left in the atmosphere, causing him to sober up, too.
“Not exactly a stroke of genius.” He was referring to the name, disdain directed at the person who, while only present in Fea’s mind, still ruined her upbeat mood. It was to approach the subject carefully, in an effort to help her with whatever wounds the topic had opened.
The strange chakra’s presence wavered for a moment, then continued and was still right along side them as before.

" I may tell you someday.... you will not like it.... or I hope you won't. That's why I keep it a secrate I think.... Because you never know who will care when you can't fit in anywhere." She said darkly. She instantly shook her head and smiled again remembering that she was in the company of a handsome, kind, ally at lest if not maybe even friend. "so about that petname I owe you.... any suggestions?" She asked trying to be happy again. Her voice relayed her minor memory behind the joking tone. Her voice was back to the sharp state that it had adopted before she'd come back to the sound village, her face even had the shadow of her old sharpness, though her featrues always looked slightly sharp and intimidating in a almost exotic beauty, they had been even sharper once and held those shadows now. Even still she was kind and softer then her state only moments ago.
