Saia walked throuh the Sand Village and sighed. She had been gone for so long. what was left for her? Though she had kept up with training she wasnt so sure in her abilities anymore. Kioku had taught her sincn she could remember. What would her Sensai say to find out she had been slacking off? She refused to think about it! Hopefully she would be able to test her ability. She left to go stand on the roof of a building and looked at her "village".

Roka, meanwhile, had spent the better part of the morning traveling through the desert on foot as a training exorcise, and even though he had demanded from his dragon, Rinjin, that if they were going to spar somewhere, they should get there by air, was now on the top of one of the taller buildings of the Sand village, having a sparring match with the water dragon. "And...the reason...we're training in the desert is...?"
//Water is your element.// "Which is scarce here." //And you've had trouble controlling your element. Best to subdue it. And if you can be great at it in the dry heat of the desert, that's an accomplishment.// Roka groaned. "But did we have to go when its so fricking HOT?" //A ninja, whining about heat?// "A dragon, who refused to carry his partner to their sparring grounds, because of it?" //...Touche.//

Saia thought training as soon as possible was the best option for her at this moment. She started to run and jump from roof to roof, grunting as each building got taller. 'This is pathetic!' she was sure a little kid could do better than her! She turned at random times until she got to the tallest building. She stopped at the edge and tried to calm her breathing. When she turned around she was shocked to see a dragon and a ninja, both were training and she was impressed by wat she saw.

Rinjin spun around to swipe at Roka's legs with his long tail and, in a blur of movement, Roka leapt up onto said tail and ran up Rinjin's back, pulling out a sedative dart, {{Oh, please, you really think I'd let you win that easily?}} The dragon bucked like he was immitating a rodeo horse, and though the half demon ninja tried to hold on, he was finally thrown off and into the side of building Saia was standing on.
Before he slammed into the building, he spun and caught himself on one of the windowsills. He glanced up to see a girl, watching them spar, and waved with his free hand. "Hey!" He climbed up onto the roof, and raised a hand to stop Rinjin before he spat a barrage of icicles their way. "Hold your fire, Rin! Can't we take a little break?"
Rinjin huffed, snorting. //Tch. You just wanna quit because I was winning.//
"Ah, quit your whining. You know I was going easy on you." Roka smirked, before turning to the girl with a smile. "Hello. Have we met before? You look kind of familiar..."

Saia smiled. "I think maybe we have." she said thinking about all the people she must have forgotten. "Im Saia." she looked at him than his dragon. "I gotta tell you. I sure wasnt expecting to find a...dragon. What were you two doing? That was incredible! I havent seen much action in awhile."

Rinjin rose from the roof he'd been on with Roka and flapped his wings, landing gracefully on the one with Saia and Roka. He glanced at Saia with interest, then stared at Roka meaningfully. "Oh. Yeah. Sorry, Rin."
He turned to Saia again, smiling. "I'm Roka, and this is my good friend and and partner, Rinjin." He rubbed Rin's neck, smiling. {{Nice to meet you. You are welcome to call me 'Rin' if you like. I'm told humans like using nicknames.}} The dragon used his telepathy to project the thought into Saia's mind, as he couldn't speak 'human' as he called it. "Oh, that? We were just having a friendly match. He's a good opponent to spar with. It's challenging for both of us because we know each other's techniques so well."

Saia had never had someone or somethhng talk to her the way the dragon had. She walked up cautiously and smiled at them. "Well thats a shame i guess." She almost hesitated to ask but did it before it was too late. "Ahem, you wouldnt mine if...we did a little friendly sparring. Would you Roka?"

((Shame...?))
Roka smiled. He never had been one to turn down a challenge, especially a friendly one. And the idea of a new sparring partner, however much he enjoyed training with Rin, was welcome. But he was glad they were in the desert, his control over his demon side had been severely weakened, making trusting himself with a 'friendly' fight more difficult. He only trusted Rin to handle his inner demons at their full potential right now. "Sounds like fun. Should Rinjin be referee? After all, two against one is hardly fair. That, it could be a three way match."
{{Personally, I'd rather just watch,}} the dragon commented. Roka rolled his eyes. "Lazy overgrown lizard." Rinjin snorted, glared at Roka, but did not reply. Partly because, yes, he was being lazy.
