Roka nodded when she agreed to go with him. He stood up, re-adjusting the strap on his katana, and glanced over the structures in the distance. Presumably, -one- of those demon buildings would have some answers for him. With that in mind, he continued walking.
“Sort of like the one you described.” He replied, shrugging. An odd look from a passing fire demon made Roka feel a little edgy and his eyes shifted color, but after a second the demon looked bored and continued on its way. “You –really- don’t resemble each other. Believe me.” “Thank you. It’s nice talking to you, too.”
Considering they were on a more deserted part of town and hadn’t seen a lot of demons, the fact that disaster hadn’t struck yet didn’t mean they were safe. There was still time for plenty of things to go wrong. He raked a hand through his white hair, trying to relax, even though his less-than-human blood was more awake now than it had been in a long time…

"You can relax you know! I may just be a dream but I've fought more then a few of tehse things they're actually not as hard as you'd think! Though avoid purple venome from spider demons more then any other one! I learned that the hard way!" She siad shivering at the memory of that little battel. she had had a rough day after that and thanked God that all the other had been on missions.
"Tell me a bit of what you remeber of you're mom." She said in a way that was requesting. She was trying to both learn about him and get him to relax. "And if you don't relax I'll knock you to the ground and give you a back rub so you'll have to relax." She said in a threatening tone, though she was famous in the village for the best backrubs if you could stand to be touched by a green girl.

“I’ve fought them too, and I know they’re not all tough. But I don’t suppose you’d like to try going up against the nine-tailed fox demon?” He raised an eyebrow. “There are a few creatures here I really wouldn’t want to tick off. And I’m not worried about venom, I can handle that. I have before. I would be more concerned about having my soul sucked out.”
“And it’s not only that. I’m…excited, sort of.” A part of him was happy to be here. It felt ‘homey’ in an odd way. Another part of him, which was responding to the aggressive or strange looks from the other demons, was just itching to get into a fight. And the human side of him was just anxious to get out of here, so he was really being pulled in three different directions at once. That was the real reason he was trying to relax.
Roka laughed at her threat and that calmed him down, so his eyes changed back to their deep blue color. “I’ll keep that offer in mind, then.”
His thoughts turned to his childhood. “I was six when she died, so I don’t remember everything about her. But…she had a beautiful voice. It was soothing and it made me feel…safe. I guess it’s a trait in her family. Obasan sounded like that, too.” (Obasan – aunt.) “She loved nature, especially flowers and animals. And, of course, she loved the sea.” He touched the small, silver chain around his neck. The last thing she gave him. “But she said that if she had to choose between it and our family, she’d want to be a human for the rest of her life.”

"Sounds great." She said almost longingly. He had such a close, loving family. No one trying to kill anyone else. He wasn't a creation of the sound, that became increasingly obvious. He was so gentle and kind, not harsh or painful. It was very different. "Im though tere was only one nine tailed fox." She siad thinking on it. She walked with him closelyto be sure the looks she was getting didn't produce much. she wasn't getting loks that said attack, they were more flirtatious in a dark sort of threatening way. She didn't like it much as they looked at her. "Maybe I should learn to fall asleep in longer dresses from now on." she ssaid more to herself then to him.

A hum in agreement. “It was.” That part of his childhood, however short, was still the brightest point in his life. He'd been given that, and in a way, life showed him kindness. Pity, happiness is so fragile.
“Oh, there is.” He shrugged. “Just an example. There are other tailed demons and things like that down here if you wander too far.” Roka glared at a couple of the ones staring at Fea. “Yeah, anything that attracts a lot of attention isn’t a great idea.” He pointed to a dimly lit building that was serving drinks. “Let’s start there.”

Fea nodded desprate to get away from the tracking eyes. She walked closly to Roka-san. It was slightly from protection of the peopel around her. She'd fought the weak ones but these looked much stronger and she thought she'd seen a tail on one or two of them. "ok. Who are we looking for?" She asked hoping to get her mind off the people staring at her and on the mission. She scanned the place with her eyes. It was so weird to get so much attneintino in a none hating way. The eyes held attraction instead of disgust adn she was not used to that at all.

Roka unconsciously also walked closer to her. Oddly or even multi-colored skin was hardly a surprising feature here, so no one here would think it detracted from her beauty. In fact, most of them might find it –more- intriguing. And she seemed human otherwise, so it made her a good target. With any luck, the other demons would assume they were together and leave Fea alone. The sudden desire to put an arm around her and give the surrounding demons a death glare was only friendly concern…………probably.
“My mother’s youngest sister. Her name’s Marina.” Roka's eyes narrowed at a male demon who licked his lips while leering at Fea. “To be honest, I’m not exactly sure why I’m here, I was just told to visit her when I was old enough. I just…don’t have any idea where she lives."
He was glad the entrance was now only a couple feet away so they could get out of the growing crowd.

Fea almost shivvered from the licking of the lips. She had her eyes securly trained on the door now. Her body was tence as she felt the wanting eyes on her skin, it felt like burning kunai peircing her flesh wiht strangly uncomfortable passion. She didn't like it and suddenly felt pity for all the pretty girls out there who had to deal with this every day. She could have hugged Roka-san for his protective behvaior but held that back.
"How intersting. Why would they ask you to come and not tell you whrere to come?" She asked as she saw a monster the looked oddly like Frankenstine's creature with thin black lips, yellow skin, visible muscels, and black hair with watery white eyes walk towards them slightly.
She cowed closer to Roka-san slightly taking a quiet breath. She was never frightened and yet now she was scared to death of what these things were capeable of. "Arigato Roka-san." She mumbeled almost silently thanking him for his protection. She was silently chastising herself for acting like such a scared puppy. She was stronger then that, why on earth should she show weakness when strength would make so much more sence.
