Roka smiled back and nodded, noticing the coloring on her face again. “Anytime.” When she started to go through the gateway, Roka reached out and grabbed her arm gently, but firmly, turning a little pale. “Hold on. Those aren’t normal statues. Those are guardians. If you walk through this gate and they don’t want to let you through…well, most people don’t have time to scream in pain, if you get my drift.”
He examined the writing above the archway. It gradually seemed to shift into words they could both understand. “That’s convenient.” The writing commanded all visitors to show respect for the dragons and their clans.
If a human or a demon wished to pass through their road, they were required to have pure intentions. And the penalty for trespassing as an enemy was death. If they felt their cause for coming was good enough, they were welcome to a test of the soul by the ancient dragon spirits residing in the statues. “I’m not even sure why I’m here.” Roka muttered. “But I’m not planning on doing damage without cause. That should satisfy them.” The dragons’ eyes started to glow expectantly.

Fea loked up and the letteres swirled to readablebut still imcomprehensible. "Let ups hope so." she siad smiling pulling the sleeve of the Kimono over her jade hand and wlaking towards it dowing low with her forehead to the ground and her four fingers stuck out and thumb folded under in a very formal four finger bow.

The left-hand side dragon’s eyes began to glow, from a dark red, to a gentle green. The previously invisible wall in the gate wavered slightly and opened partially, but waited. Roka stepped forward a little and glanced into the eyes of the other dragon. He could a voice very faintly when he did. It didn’t actually say anything that he could discern as words, but it was strangely familiar—warm and accepting. “Hai.” Roka answered, not really sure what question he was answering or even why.
He bowed also, though not as low or as formally as Fea. It apparently worked, because the second dragon’s eyes glowed light blue instead of gold. The clear wall inside the gate steadily melted away and the dragon’s eyes finally dimmed back to their original, lifeless colors. They were both given the distinct impression from the spirits that they had passed.
Roka nodded to Fea and walked up to the gate first, and hesitated only a second before passing through it. It remained a calm, normal archway this time. He could now see and hear the waterfalls beyond it, which had been strangely unnoticeable a minute ago. In front of them was a large pond with mossy stepping stones across it and a waterfall at its back. It looked suspiciously like a dead end.

FEa got up thankfully and walked through. She smiled and walked after Roka looking infront of her. "Water looks nice." She said wishing to reach out and thouch it. It was so pretty, she just wanted to feel it, but she knew it was impossible.

“Yeah,” Roka agreed, observing their roadblock. The water glistened cheerfully under the moonlight. ((Assuming the demon realm has a moon.)) He held his hand out and made the water stir a little, getting a feel for it. “There’s a…tunnel, behind the waterfall.” He explained.
As much of a pity as it was to disturb the scenery, he knew it wouldn’t be easy for either of them to cross it without their genetics becoming a problem. He took a minute to focus and forced the water to split and create a drier path, starting with the top of the waterfall and back to their feet, creating two waves that stood still on either side of the stepping stones.
At the back, behind the waterfall, there was a large, mouth like opening that tunneled through the rock. There were patches of glowing light on the walls inside, though he wasn’t sure what from yet, and it was still wet, but it was at least a lot drier than the waterfall. Beyond it, he could feel a presence. More than one.
((Poor Fea. Well, this realm is 'magical' and all. Maybe that could be possible.))

FEa looked a little scared at the path being BEHIND the water fall. This is gonna hurt!' they all thought in unison. As much as she pretended she could stand it, she actually hated physical pain. It was cripeling in many ways, she wasn't good at being crippeled. Her look of frea was gone as soon as it came and she toucched his shoulder. "Let's go!" She said with a sweet smile.

As quick as it left, Roka saw her hesitance. And…fear, if he wasn’t mistaken, though he couldn’t be sure. Not that he blamed her for it if that was what he saw. If he let go of his control on the water for more than a second, they’d both get soaked. He offered her a returned smile. ‘I won’t let anything happen to you.’ His eyes promised. “Let’s.”
Roka moved onto the first large stone. It wasn’t as slippery as it could’ve been, but a wrong step would still be enough. His hand had unconsciously slipped into Fea’s to reassure her or help, if she needed it.

Fea smiled enjoying the realistic feel of this dream, it was nice. She looked to Roka as his hand slipped to hers. She joined him movements as he walked. She stepped carefully on the first stone feeling her boots gripping the rock. It was then that she thanked Roka's family for letting her keep the army boots. Thier traction gave her a better chance of staying on.
