Kiken finished swallowing the young snake that served as his lunch and flicked out his tongue. There was a familiar scent. Quietly he followed the trail to Roka before heading toward his friend. The kunoichi knelt down and scooped up the snake, "happy birthday Kiken-san," she laughed. After a strange conversation Kioku beamed, "really? Shia, I'll be back!" Following the snake's directions Kioku approached the area Roka was. "Come to wish me a happy birthday, eh, fish boy?" she laughed.

“Something like that.” Roka chuckled from his shadowed position in a tree that gave him a fairly good view of the village. “Curiosity, partly,” he admitted, before dropping down to the base of the trunk. “But, eh, as long as I’m in the neighborhood…happy birthday. Just don’t call me ‘fish boy’ if you’re planning on having another one.”

She laughed, "if you insist. And thank you, its always nice to hear that from rivals." Looking down at the village her eyes seemed to soften just a little. "Its a nice place dont you think? This village is... so lovely... in all my 20 years, I've never found a better place," she said slowly, glancing at Roka to watch his reaction to her 'moment of weakness.' (( A little snake told me. XD ))

“It’s…charming in its own, strange way, I guess.” Roka admitted, with a noncommittal shrug, briefly glancing over the buildings and scenery. “I’m not really one to judge. After all,” he smirked, letting his fangs show for a moment, “few other people would care to make the demon realm a vacationing spot. You can learn to love any place, any world, if you call it home, or find a connection to its people.” As an after thought, he mused, ‘Interesting to see a Sound ninja with so much pride in her village.’
He leaned back against the tree’s broad body and raised an eyebrow at the kunoichi with sudden interest. “What exactly made you come to the Otogakure, anyway? I mean, even your boyfriend isn’t from here.” ‘Hell, I could’ve told you that purely from the bizarre Konoha obsession.’ “Are you?”
((Kiken…! XD))

She laughed quietly, "I was actually born here. My paranoid mother took me to Kirigakure for a few years but once she died I found my way home. Of course, back then this place was smaller. I guess this village and I grew up together," she joked. Her friend hissed but she just smiled. She wasnt saying anything that could be used against her so why not talk? "Where are you from Roka? And if you dont mind me asking, how'd you meet that dragon of yours?"

“The Kirigakure, huh?” Roka motioned to his forehead protector, tied to his sheath. “I guess if you stayed, we might have grown up together.” He considered whether or not to tell her, but in the end, it didn’t make much difference. It was unlikely that Orochimaru cared too much about him, (save the fact that he ticked him off once…) but even if he did, it was doubtful that anyone here knew how to use this knowledge against him. So few humans really understood demons, much less the half-breeds.
“I was born in the Mist, so I guess you could say I’m from there…partly. My father was. But mom, on the other hand…was a demon.” He smirked. “So, I’m also ‘partly’ from another world all together. Rinjin and I met in her realm, while I was…exploring the other half of my heritage.” {{Huh?}} //Nothing important. You can go back to sleep.// {{What, bragging about me to one of your friends?}} //Heh. Nevermind, I think you’re still dreaming.//

"So your a half demon..? I should've known... your blood is stronger than most," she said more to herself than him. "I wonder how everything would have turned out if I'd stayed at Kirigakure... things would probably be pretty different," she smiled.
