Roka sat down on top of a gray, stone wall--a structure near the village, looking out to a snow covered meadow with near absence of conscious thought, watching the snowflakes dance down to the earth below and join their many siblings to continue weaving the endless blanket of white. It was times like these that he was glad he found out snow didn’t effect his demon side.
As a kid, snow had almost terrified him for the unfounded fear that he could never escape the crystallized water’s possible effects. But after getting shoved into a sufficiently large pile of it by a fellow ninja attempting to help him overcome his problem, the fear melted into strange, childish fascination. Even now that he was older, he still liked to watch it falling from the sky.

Sayuri was stood up on top of the tower itself looking at Roka's back. Snowflakes were gathering in her black hair and it made her skin seem to glisten. She wanted to go speak to the boy, but it seemed to her like he was entranced by the falling snow.
She took a few silent steps forward and forgot her default smile before saying. "This is why I like he snow village so much." in a hushed and soft tone.

Roka jerked slightly when he heard her, but his balance on the wall wasn’t disturbed enough for him to fall or wobble. He came out of his ‘trance’ enough to realize he wasn’t alone and recognize that the voice was Sayuri’s. He smiled and took his eyes off the beautiful scenery just long enough to give her a glance of friendly recognition. “Yeah…me too.”
After a few, long minutes of comfortable silence, he managed the presence of mind to ask, "Just come to admire the view?"

Sayuri's eyes fell upon the soft white blanket covering the village. Her default smile found its way to her face eventually, and she looked at Roka. "When I was on a travelling break, I used to come here all the time." she stated a bit sheepishly. "I guess I wanted to see what had changed." She sat next to him and looke dhim in the eye as if to ask the same question he asked her.

Roka returned the smile. “I use to visit this village from time to time, but it’s been a while. In fact, I didn’t actually mean to come here, but since I was in the neighborhood, so I felt like doing the same. Hasn’t changed much, though.” And for that, Roka was glad. It’d be a pity if anything happened to this place to change it.
He smirked at Sayuri. “And I’m sure Haku will be happy you’re here, ne? I heard he has a…shop in this village? Something about plants.” The half demon mulled over the idea. “That’s odd for a village that’s always so cold.”

Sayuri thought about his words and chose hers carefully. "I'm glad it hasn't changed." she replied softly and scratched at her left leg.
"Yes he does, I work there with him." she said. "I guess it is odd, but the Snow Village is a beautiful place. I guees like with a garden flowers bring color as it does so here."

Roka logged that information away with a smile. "Then I guess I'll have to come visit you two sometime." He stretched. "I guess that's true. A little color wouldn't hurt."

Sayuri's eyes fell back to the snow falling. Noticing an odd pattern she looked up at the sky. "Forgive me if I am wrong, but there looks like there is going to be a snowstorm...maybe in an hour or so..." she informed him quietly.
