It had been two hours since Sayuri and the baby, who had yet to be named, had fallen asleep, and Roka had left. Haku had just managed to convince the healer woman to let him back inside if he promised to be quiet. The bed Sayuri was on now was big enough for all of them, so he carefully set the baby down next to his mother and since there was nothing else to do, he laid down next to them, to catch a few Zs himself. He pressed a kiss to Sayuri's lips, and to the baby's forehead, and closed his eyes. 'I love you...'

Sayuri smiled slightly as her eyes slowly fluttered open. "Haku-chan..." she turned to face him with a sleepy expression and a smile. "I love you too." she softly replied and kissed his lips gently. ~This couldn't get any better.~ Sayu thought. She was genuinely ecstatic. Looking at her child she smiled. "How's my little--" her words faltered as she realised she hadn't named him. Looking a bit dumbfounded she quickly sccoped him up into her arms and sat up a little cradling him gently.

Haku cracked one eye open after she kissed him back and saw her cradling her son. Well, if Sayuri wasn’t going to sleep…ehh, who needed a nap? He abandoned the attempt and lazily shifted onto his side, watching the two of them. The baby’s eyes opened slowly, copying his mother again. ~Like mother, like son.~ He thought, with a smile.

Sayu turned slightly to look at Haku. Beaming, she kissed her baby's forehead and asked: "How are you Haku-chan?" Feeling much more rested her eyes shone.

“Happier than I think I’ve ever been in my life.” Haku answered honestly, with a bright, if not somewhat sleepy smile on his face. He reached out to hold her hand and lace his fingers with hers.

Sayu's eyes smiled with her lips. She gripped Haku's hand softly. "I am very glad," she replied softly." I'd like to ask a favour though..." she smiled a little mischievously. "Would you like to help me name our child?" she asked gently.

'Our child.' That made it sound like he really had a family now. That he belonged with the people he loved, who loved him. It made this moment, which he thought really couldn't be better, feel complete. His eyes glowed happily. "I'd love to."
Haku still felt unsure about trying to give another human being something as important as their name. It was a decision that was meant to stick with him for life. "Hm..." The name needed to be suitable for a child from the Uchiha clan, too. A boy who would some day grow into a great man, with the blood of his proud forefathers, a natural control of fire, and the legendary sharingan. An idea jumped out at him. "Ryuu...?"
A dragon. A wise, noble, proud creature. It commanded fire, but could live in water...it was very fragile when it started life, but possessed limitless potential. He looked up at Sayuri uncertainly. "Is that...okay?"

Sayuri smiled with happiness emitting from her, a glow of absolute joy. She watched Haku carefully as he thought about the name for their son, and beamed. The chuunin was excited at the prospect of herself and Haku being together with a child, having a real family. This was the closest feeling she had of ecstasy in her life.
"Ryuu...Its perfect!" she beamed, kissing him softly, being careful not to crush the newborn. "I love you, both of you." she whispered softly to Haku and Ryuu.
